Introduction

Recent advances in nanotechnology, materials science, cellular and molecular biology, and pharmaceutical sciences have emerged a new interdisciplinary research field called pharmaceutical nanotechnology. Pharmaceutical nanotechnology comprises a range of technologies for the development of modern drug delivery systems and understanding of their interactions with biological systems. Center for Nanotechnology in Drug Delivery was founded in 2013 by some faculty members of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences with different fields including nanotechnology, pharmacy, pharmaceutical biotechnology, pharmacokinetics, polymer chemistry and cellular and molecular biology.
